Now, when it comes to autopilot, how does the machine take moral logical decision? In the event to self destruct or to kill the pedestrian on the road? This is a question which MIT tries to answer by making the machine learn the moral decisions taken by humans in such an event. If the machine is able to make an ethical decision, we are on the go. It would eventually choose to control population so as to bypass the extinction....
Even though many companies such as #Uber, #Google, #GM have invested on the technology; still we are on the long way to establish complete self driving cars.
Now, when that happens, humans are prone to make mistakes, so machine will have to be decided to override the decision of human driver to focus on safety. If that becomes a reality, it opens door to many possibilities that eventually we would have lot of chances of being controlled, unless #emotional intelligence is inter twinned.
